Description

Pass the follower hand over their own head as a relaxed styling release during the basic.

Use On1 timing: six regular weight changes on 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 unless an explicitly counted spin recovery, syncopation or held accent is described. Rotation without a step does not add a weight transfer.

Keep the head upright; the hand passes over it without bending the neck.

Instructions

Lead

1
Beat 1: Step left forward with weight. Use right-to-right hold.
2
Beat 2: Replace weight onto right.
3
Beat 3: Close left underneath you with weight. Lift the joined hand clear above the follower crown.
5
Beat 4: Pause without an extra step; allow rotation to settle.
6
Beat 5: Step right back with weight.
7
Beat 6: Replace weight onto left. Pass the joined hand toward the follower own shoulder without pulling.
8
Beat 7: Close right underneath you with weight. Release the hand so the follower can lower the arm freely.

Lead Direction

Make the arch spacious and release before the arm travels behind the head.

Tips

  • Keep the head upright; the hand passes over it without bending the neck.
  • Practice slowly with small steps and keep your own supporting balance.

Common Mistakes

  • Holding fingers tightly so the connection cannot swivel or release.
  • Continuing a turn after losing the shared rhythm or your own balance.
